Four former parish councillor are being recommended for the award of “The freedom of the Parish of Glinton.”
Former Parish Councillor Eric Spendelow (a parish councillor for 55 years),Alderman John Holdich OBE, Parish councillor, Chairman and Ward Councillor (43years). Bob Johnson (42 years), and Peter Skinner (33 years).
A meeting of the Parish council is being held on 5th July in the Village Hall specifically to consider and conferring the titles of “Honorary Freeman of the Parish Of Glinton” on all four former councillors. Whilst the titles carry no special privileges they are the highest award a parish council can make.
