NOTICE OF MEETING
All members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of Glinton Parish Council to be held on Tuesday 5th July, 2022 at 7.15pm
This meeting is convened exclusively for the purpose of considering and approving conferring “Freedom of the Parish of Glinton” on four former parish councillors for their eminent service to the parish and residents who between them served a total in excess of 170 years on the parish council.
Freedom of the parish is the highest accolade that a parish council can award. If approved at this meeting the title is immediately conferred, but a formal presentation will follow at a time and place to be agreed with all parties.

To consider & approve conferring the title of “HONORARY FREEMAN OF THE PARISH OF GLINTON” ON ALDERMAN JOHN FREDERICK WHITE HOLDICH, OBE, for his exemplary contribution to the parish and residents as a former parish councillor for a continuous period of 43 years, as a former Chairman of the parish council and former Ward Councillor– Sponsored by Councillor Gerry Kirt, Parish Council Chairman.
5. To consider & approve conferring the title of “HONORARY FREEMAN OF THE PARISH OF GLINTON” ON EDWARD THOMAS ERIC SPENDELOW (KNOWN AS ERIC), for his exemplary contribution to the parish and residents as a former parish councillor for a continuous period of 55 years, – Sponsored by Councillor Gerry Kirt, Parish Council Chairman.
6. To consider & approve conferring the title OF “HONORARY FREEMAN OF THE PARISH OF GLINTON” ON ROBERT WILLIAM JOHNSON (KNOWN AS BOB), for his exemplary contribution to the parish and residents as a former parish councillor for a continuous period of 42 years and former Chairman of the parish council – Sponsored by Councillor Gerry Kirt, Parish Council Chairman.
7. To consider & approve conferring the title of “HONORARY FREEMAN OF THE PARISH OF GLINTON” ON PETER DEREK SKINNER, for his exemplary contribution to the parish and residents as a former parish councillor for a continuous period of 33 years – Sponsored by Councillor Gerry Kirt, Parish Council Chairman.
8. To consider a suitable date, Venue and Format for the presentation of framed certificated to those former parish councillors awarded the title “HONORARY FREEMAN OF THE PARISH OF GLINTON” conferred at this meeting.
